Solomon Osazuva
Solomon Osazuva, born in Vienna, is a professional ballet dancer and the Managing Director of the Association Vienna State Opera Ballet.
My Story
Born in Vienna, Austria, Solomon began his ballet journey at the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy, training under distinguished teachers including Rafael Avnikyan, Mihail Sosnovschi and Vladimir Shishov until 2019. This foundational training paved the way for Solomon's career in ballet.
After completing his training, Solomon joined the Czech National Theater in Brno, where he performed from 2019 to 2022. During his tenure, he delivered standout performances that solidified his reputation as a rising star in the ballet community. Following a season as a freelance artist, Solomon transitioned to the Slovenian National Theater in Ljubljana in 2024.
Since 2019, Solomon has served as the Managing Director of the Association Vienna State Opera Ballet, contributing to the development and promotion of ballet initiatives.
In 2024, Solomon danced the premiere of Don Quixote by Denis Matvienko, performing the role of Basilio. This production marked the first time the iconic ballet star choreographed a full-length ballet, making Solomon’s performance a highlight of his career.
Solomon has medalled in multiple ballet competitions, including 1st Place at the European Ballet Grand Prix in 2017 and 2018, along with high placements at the Youth American Grand Prix in New York. Additional honors include the Karl Musil Preis and 2nd Place at the Tallinn International Ballet Competition and Tanzolymp Berlin.
